There are problems associated with indoor air pollution, especially while cooking, as Sui gas is not available to everyone. Women have to collect wood from a far off place and bring it to their home. Wood burning causes indoor air pollution which leads to severe cough and respiratory problems. There is a need for a cost effective substitute for gas from the grid that is readily available to common people. The project is supposed to look into easy means to use alternative sources of energy (bio-gas, etc.) or improve the usage of existing sources (improved cook stoves).
